Product Description

White Quinoa grains are small, round, semi flattened, and cream color. Quinoa has an excellent source of protein that differentiates from other “proteic” grains due to the presence of the amino acid lysine, which makes the protein more complete. It has an excellent balance of nutrition. A food grade product from Peru Quinoa (chenopodium quinoa) by mechanical, harvesting, cleaning, washing and drying. Washing is required to remove much of the saponins. (saponins are naturally occurring glycosides).

 PROPERTIES

Quinoa grains are flattened, rounded, cylindrical shape; 1.5-2.5 mm diameter x 1.0 - 1.5 mm thick. Color is red-tan, with an occasional dark color seed. Quinoa grains is odor free and any rancid or other off-odors.  Mild flavour, earthy flavor (mainly from saponins), free of any off-flavors,  or excessive saponins.
